The iconic Competition Motors brand has been but a memory for decades. In its day though, John von Neumann and Competition Motors dominated in west coast sports car racing – first with MG's, then Porsches, and finally with Ferraris.
As none of the original branding existed (or is at least not easily found), I've carefully recreated the Competition Motors script from the signage in a vintage photo, then created an original patch design faithful to the 1950's aesthetic.
Pigment dyed with an oiled distressed look for a worn-in style. Contrast stitched with an adjustable velcro strap closure.
