While it might not be the single most important Ferrari, the 166MM certainly cemented the marque at the top of the list – earning Ferrari its first victory at Le Mans in the hands of Luigi Chinetti. "In the hands of Liugi Chinetti” being very nearly single-handedly true – as he drove 22.5 of the 24 hours HIMSELF!
That a car could be this beautiful and still a winner is amazing.
This shirt celebrates that legend. Building around an original illustration of the 166MM, I've designed all of the critical history into the design: the event, the track, the first V12 victory, the 1st win for Ferrari, and the dates – Juin (June) 25 and 26 of 1949.
