Competition Motors "First in the West" Premium T-shirt

The iconic Competition Motors brand has been but a memory for decades. In its day though, John von Neumann and Competition Motors dominated in west coast sports car racing – first with MG's, then Porsches, and finally with Ferraris.

As none of the original branding exists (or is not easily found), I've carefully recreated the Competition Motors script from the signage in a vintage photograph, then created original art and design faithful to the 1950's aesthetic.

This premium SUPER-soft t-shirt features the von Neumann Porsche SL (recently restored to its original Le Mans winning form), my recreation of the original Competition Motors script lettering, as well as the phone number and 1950’s presentation of the address. Shirt backs display von Neuman’s number of choice – 11, indicate the 1952 race season, and note von Neuman’s top finishes in the Porsche SL for the year.
