Jerry Titus was a rare triple threat in motorsports—journalist, mechanic, and racer. As an editor at Sports Car Graphic, he moved from the page to the cockpit and, by 1967, secured the Trans-Am championship driving for Carroll Shelby.
This original illustration captures Titus in a Vasek Polak–prepared Porsche 911 at the 1966 Santa Barbara Road Races—a season that culminated in his Class D championship.
