It's hard to believe that Porsche was ever a fledgling car-builder taking its first race cars to challenge the established brands – but that's exactly what was happening at Le Mans in 1951. 24 hours later, Porsche had won their class (even besting the class above them) and cemented their place in history. This very special car – the most important Porsche – represents the birth of legend.
This shirt celebrates that legend. Featuring an original ink drawing, it notes the details of the race: the event, the track, 1st place in the 1100 CC class, the 1st win for Porsche, and the dates – June 23 and 24 of 1951.
Soft, lightweight shirt material and cut compares to a premium tee by Ralph Lauren or Banana Republic. Distress printed in Faded Gray on a premium 100% combed cotton Light Gray t-shirt.
