On June 22nd, 1958, Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien claimed the third overall victory for Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 3.0 liter "red head" Testa Rossa V12 had delivered, covering 266 laps and winning by more than fourteen laps. It was one of the last great victories of Ferrari's golden era. Though we all know the name of Phil Hill, it is worth noting that Olivier Gendebien would go on to become a four-time Le Mans winner.
